One of the most important character in selecting the best rose cultivars for cultivation in extreme continental climate is flowering of their annual shoots. Such cultivars are found in the following garden groups: hybrid tea, floribunda, grandiflora and kordesii. In addition, cultivars of the hybrid tea group studied in this work are characterized by a wider range of colors, bloom shapes, aromas, long peduncles and long-lasting remontant flowering. The group of hybrid tea roses is polyphyletic, and the roses garden groups were often identified by morphological characters. Molecular genetic methods for typing plant material, in particular the use of molecular markers, allow for more rational use of the existing gene pool, optimizing the selection of breeding material from collections. The goals of the present study were: 1) to compare the hybrid tea cultivars across the morphometric characters; 2) to evaluate of adaptive potential of the studied cultivars under the forest steppe conditions in Western Siberia; 3) to analyze the genetic polymorphism level in these cultivars using ISSR markers. A wide range of variability by morphometric characters was detected in the studied rose cultivars. Three cultivars statistically significant stand out by bloom size (D) and number of petals (C): the lowest values were characteristic of Zolotaya Osen’ (D = 5.54±0.13 cm; C = 23.75±1.15) and Chaika (D = 7.62±0.19 cm; C = 34.67±0,.61); the highest values of Dame de Cœur (D = 11,71±0,14 cm, C = 52.67±0.91). The tallest cultivars in Siberia harsh climate were Juliet (75.00±1.95 cm), Chatyr-Dag (72.24±1.65 cm), and Tineke (72.34±2.45 cm). The latter two cultivars were the most suitable for cut flowers for their stem length, 39.72±1.30 cm in Chatyr-Dag and 40.35±1.24 cm in Tineke. Our study identified five cultivars with high adaptive potential, the Kraski Oseni, Utro Moskvy, Crimson Glory, Dame de Cœur, and Juliet. For the first time, it has been shown that these varieties can set seeds in the conditions of Western Siberia. Thereof, they may be involved in breeding work, including as maternal forms. These varieties overwinter better than others under air-dry shelters, preserving living buds in the aboveground part of last year’s shoots and subsequently setting full-fledged seeds (achenes). A wide genetic diversity of the studied hybrid tea roses cultivars was detected using molecular genetic study. Two cultivars of Russian breeding, Utro Moskvy and Chaika, showed the greatest genetic similarity when analyzed using the Neighbor-Joining method, which most likely indicates a common origin of their parental forms.
