THE INFLUENCE OF LEAF MORPHOTYPE ON WATER METABOLISM IN PEA

In conditions of field and vegetation experiments the traditional leaflet and mutant leafless pea varieties were compared. The author established that leafless forms are inferior to leaflet in complex indices of water metabolism which have an influence on plant’s abilities to survive dehydration, overheating and crop formation in drought conditions.
