EFFECTIVE TRANSFORMATION OF CHICKEN CELLS in vitro AND in vivo BY GENE CONSTRUCTION ON THE BASIS OF RETROVIRAL VECTORS

The authors investigated the efficiency of the recombinant DNA transfer into the chicken em-bryonic cells in vitro and in vivo using the pBMN-lacZ and pLN-GFP retroviral vectors in connection with features of gene construction (viral preparation, use of cells-packers), and also type of target cells and embryo development stage. The genetic transformation frequency of targeting cells was observed at the level of 1х10^-3 to 5х10^-3. The transgenic chickens with integration and expression of GFP gene were produced.
