METHODS OF MEMBRANE DIVISION OF VIRUS CONTAINING SUSPENSION DURING PRODUCTION OF VACCINE AGAINST BIRD DISEASES

T.A. Skotnikova, E.F. Tokarik, A.Ya. Samuilenko

By the example of infected allantoidal fluid of chicken embryos the authors investigated the efficiency of microfiltration methods (nuclear and fluoroplastic membranes, ultrafiltration on hollow fibers), purification and concentration of Newcastle disease virus (La-Sota strain). The method of concentration by ultrafiltration on hollow fibers ensures the isolation of virus with high biological activity, that permit to its usage as main component of combined vaccines against virus diseases of birds.

Key words: ultrafiltration, membranes, separation, concentration, purification, Newcastle disease virus, associated vaccine.
