FEATURES OF ANTIOXIDANT SYSTEM FUNCTIONING IN CARNIVOROUS MAMMALS UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF SODIUM SELENITE

The authors studied the influence of sodium selenite on antioxidant system (AOS) of liver and kidney in veil polar fox, silver fox and American mink of the pastel breed and deep-brown type of the standard breed. The species-specificity of AOS reactions was revealed on the addition of this preparation to animal’s ration. It was shown, that sodium selenite has various influence on functioning enzymatic and non-enzymatic AOS component, the latter has greater susceptibility.
