MOLECULAR-GENETIC INTERACTION IN THE SYSTEM «PATHOGEN— HOST» DURING THE LATE BLIGHT DISEASE OF POTATO AND THE CURRENT STRATEGY OF BREEDING (review)

The data of literature are presented about structure and functional activity of Phytophthora infestans de Bary genome (sequence of mitochondrial and nuclear genomes, localization of pathogenicity and avirulence genes), phenotypic manifestation and molecular-genetic basic of resistance to the late blight in variants of different species of Solanum, deposited in world collections, about mechanisms of interaction of pathogen and plants. The prospects of using of isolated variants — sources of determinants of resistance to late blight for creation of new potato cultivars, remaining during long time, and also the application the molecular markers for the purpose of advanced of breeding process are discussed.
