SELENIUM ACCUMULATION BY HEN’S EGGS IN THE CONDITIONS OF PRIVATE FARMS OF DAGESTAN

N.A. Golubkina1, A.P. Dibirova2, T.T. Papazyan3

The authors estimated the selenium content in hen’s eggs produced in private farms of 11 districts of Dagestan. The average value was 9.5μg/egg. The lowest values were revealed in mountain regions of the republic. The content of easy digestible selenium in hen’s eggs in Dagestan regions utilizing exclusively native feeds was 3.5 times less than selenium content in production of Russian poultry factories used selenium enriched yeast Sel-Pleks as a premix. It was shown that hen’s age hasn’t essential influence on total content of selenium in egg.

Keywords: Dagestan, chicken eggs, selenium.
