The authors studied the efficiency of different modes of artificial activation of cattle ovules used as cytoplasts during obtaining of clonal embryos. It was established, that activation of cytoplasts by calcium ionophorc result in the best development of parthenogenetic and reconstructed embryos to blastocystis stage. Strontium chloride was ineffective for activation of oocytes ripened in vitro to metaphase II stage.

Key words: oocyte, cytoplast, artificial activation, parthenogenetic development, cloning of animals, embryo, cattle.
