EFFECT OF ASCORBIC ACID AND BEET MOLASSES ON SOME INDICES OF SOWS RESISTANCE

A.K. Dzhavadov, V.A. Meshcheryakova

On pedigree sows (Large White variety x Landras) the authors investigated the indices of total resistance at the different periods of gestation and lactation during enrichment by ascorbic acid and beet molasses of sows rations. It was shown, that in contrast to ascorbic acid the addition to daily rations of 200, 300 and 400 ml beet molasses have not a reliable effect on resistance indices. In other words, the enrichment of rations by carbohydrates do not ensures a synthesis of enough content of ascorbic acid in organism of gestation and lactigenic sows.

Key words: ascorbic acid, treacle, sow, immunoglobulin, resistance, phagocytic activity, phagocytic index, bactericidal activity.
