PHYTASE APPLICATION IN FEEDS FOR SWINE AND POULTRY (review)

The efficacy of supplemental microbial phytase for improving phytate utilization has been investigated extensively, and phytase has been shown to consistently improve phytate-P utilization in both swine and poultry. Phytase addition to diets, therefore, may improve not only the utilization of dietary phytate-P but also proteinamino acid and microelements utilization thereby creating both economic and environ-mental advantages.
