INTERACTION OF RHIZOSPHERE BACTERIA WITH PLANTS: MECHANISMS OF FORMATION AND FACTORS OF EFFICIENCY IN ASSOCIATIVE SYMBIOSIS (review)

A.I. Shaposhnikov1, A.A. Belimov1, L.V. Kravchenko1, J.M. Vivanco2

The mechanisms of positive influence of rhizospere bacteria on plans are discussed. Colonization of rhizospere by the introduced strains is regarded as а necessary condition for formation of plant-bacterial association and the key strategy for selection of effective rhizobactrtial strains. The role of some biotic factors, i.e. mixed rhizobzterial cultures and the interactions of introducents with indigenous microflora, in the fuctioning of associative symbiosis and plant response to inoculation with rhizobzcteria is examined.

Keywords: bacterisation, microbial associations, rhizosphere, symbiosis, phytohormones.
