INDUCED MORPHOGENESIS AND PLANT REGENERATION in vitro IN BARLEY VARIETIES OF NATIVE SELECTION

E.A. Sidorov, M.A. Chernobrovkina, A.N. Nikolaeva, P.N. Kharchenko, S.V. Dolgov

The authors studied the influence of genotype and components of nutrient medium on processes forming of callus, morphogenesis and regeneration in vitro in three Russian varieties of summer barley — Stimul, Vikont and Mamlyuk. The most effective regeneration in shoots was dur-ing the use of explants of Stimul variety and modified medium of Murashige-Skuga, having casein hydrolyzed (1 g/l), myoinositol (100 mg/l) and benzyladenine (3.0 mf/l), and also 50-times over (in comparison with standard) amount of Cu2+ ions.

Key words: barley, genotypes, immature embryos, callusogenesis, organogenesis, regeneration in vitro.
