Using semiconductor light-emitting diodes of the total intensity of 95-100 mkmol x m-2 x s-1 the sprouts of tomato (variety Dubok and sample Craigella Tm-1/Tm-1 with high productivity and resistance to different pathogens and abiotic factors, and marker sample Mo 605) were irradiated with red and blue light at a ratio of 1:2, increasing natural daylight time by 17-24 h. The exposition was shown to accelerate the growth and development of plants, to cause tolerance to fungal pathogens (Alternaria solani Sor. and Botrytis cinerea Pers.) and to increased productivity by 20-60 %.

Key words: photoregulation, biotic stresses, resistance, tolerance.
