CELLULAR FLUID CONCENTRATION IN LEAVES OF Hydrangea macrophylla DURING VARIOUS REGIMES OF TEMPERATURE AND MOISTURE

V.I. Malyarovskaya, O.G. Belous

In conditions of Russian subtropics the authors studied the dependence between cellular fluid concentration (CFC) in leaves of different varieties of Hydrangea macrophylla and the indices of soil moisture, relative air humidity and air temperature. The normal growth and development in plants take place during CFC in leaves of 6.5-9.0 %. The increase of this parameter above 10.0 % suggests about a water deficit under action of stressors and result in the leaves withering, the lowering inflorescence turgor and the loss of ornamentality in Hydrangea macrophylla plants.

Key words: Hydrangea macrophylla, adaptability, a water mode, concentration of cellular juice, humidity of air, humidity of soil, temperature.
