SELECTION OF COTTON PLANTS ON IMPROVED QUALITY OF COLORED FIBER

The authors presented the comparative investigation of cotton variants from collection of All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Plant Growing with white and colored fiber on physic-chemical parameters, resistance to biological degradation by spontaneous microflora and bactericidal action. The results of selection work with Mexican cotton with natural colored fiber are presented. The outlooks of application of colored cotton to textile industry are discussed.
