The authors investigated the biometric measurements, pigment concentration and photosynthesis productivity in radish plants (Raphanus sativus L.) the Zhara variety of 10-days age after their treatment by different UV-B radiation dosages during 5 days period at the conditions of phytotron complex. The physiological measurements were determined at the end of treatment, one week and two weeks after treatment. It was shown that radish was quite resistant to the impact of UV-B radiation: tolerance peak of radish to UV-B radiation was 7 kJ x m-2 x day-1, the higher UV-B radiation dosages depressed growth and performance of photosynthesis apparatus of radish.

Key words: Raphanus sativus, UV-B-radiation, tolerance, growth parameter, pigments, net photosynthetic productivity.
