O.S. Rogovaya, M.S. Krasnov, E.V. Kosovskaya, G.Yu. Kosovsky

Cell therapy in the treatment of farm animals is increasingly used: the positive results obtained for treatment of the joints and tendons pathologies in breeding horses. In addition, at present it is shown that MSCs co-transplantation reduces the development of reaction «graft vs. host disease». The phenomenon of suppression of the recipient may find practical application in complex treatment of farm animals, in particular autoimmune diseases in animals, such as type I diabetes.

Keywords: mesenchymal stem cells, transplantation, immunosuppression, cell therapy, diabetes mellitus.
