VARIABILITY OF BARLEY (Hordeum vulgare L.) OF DIFFERENT GEOGRAPHIC ORIGIN BY THE ELEMENTS OF YIELD STRUCTURE

A.V. Zheleznov, N.B. Zheleznova, T.V. Kukoeva, N.V. Burmakina

In the conditions of forest-steppe of Novosibirskaya oblast’ in 273 variants of Hordeum vulgare L. of different geographic origin the authors determined the total and productive tilling capacity, head length and density, plant height, seed number and mass of one plant, mass of 1000 seeds. The geographic variability of cultivars on parameters of yield structure was presented and the features of cultivars from different geographic regions were revealed. The prospective for breeding cultivars combined the high indices on two-three or, sometimes, four elements of yield structure were identified.

Keywords: Hordeum vulgare, collection, structure of yield, sample, initial material, trait, variability, structural analysis.
