DEVELOPMENT OF APPLE VARIETIES WITH DIFFERENT FRUIT STORABILITY

Data of the development of apple varieties with summer, autumn and winter maturing are cited. The latter one is much more difficult to obtain. Polygenic character of fruit storability inheritance is shown. Commercial and biological characteristics of two apple varieties with the most durable fruit storability (Svezhest’ and Sinap orlovskii) are presented.
