DROUGHT AND WHEAT BREEDING: SYSTEM APPROACH

The results of researchs of genetic and physiological control of drought-resistance and of heat tolerance in bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) were generalized. The diversity of traits drought-resistance and heat tolerance with associate for yield was considered. The contribution molecular biology in study of drought-resistance and heat tolerance was shown. Significance of systematic and multidisciplinary approaches to raise of theoretical and practical breeding of combination drought-resistance and heat tolerance with high yield and actuality of development of cultivars more effective use water in drought and favourable conditions are considered.
